Acceso Hispano is a project of the Self Reliance Foundation (SRF), a non-governmental, non-profit organization with 501(c)3 status, that works to empower underserved communities to improve their quality of life. Most of SRF’s projects combine the persuasive power of mass media with person-to-person community outreach, to ensure that people have access to the information, services and support networks they need. Acceso Hispano’s project team is dedicated to providing information, referrals, and orientation to the U.S. Hispanic population to improve their health and quality of life. We are committed to the values of respect, trust, empowerment and confidentiality in every service we provide. We serve all Hispanic individuals irrespective of their language, race, age, gender, or immigration status. Our ultimate goal is simply to make it as easy as possible for Hispanics to access the services they need, by providing high-quality information and referrals, while helping to ensure that those services are culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate. We expect that any service provider who is a member of the national network will share our values, and serve the Hispanic community with respect, compassion, and confidentiality. If by mandate your organization is unable to serve undocumented immigrants but you explicitly offer services for Hispanics or legal migrants, we simply ask that you clearly state your policies in your service description.
